DrunkaBiff has a twofer: A post about Wardman and his sidekick Truthforce begging for money to pay the legal costs of battle the Death Star that is the CU legal department, and a post about Bill Ayers' picks for The One's cabinet (spoiler alert: they're all commies). Good Drunkasneering in both posts, though of course, not nearly enough.

The DrunkaScourge has discovered that The Perfesser (or someone stupid enough to convincingly pretend to be Ward Churchill) has a Facebook page. Finally, Chutch can mingle with his intellectual equals. Among his Facebook friends The Perfesser can count Bill Ayers, Hugo Rafael Chavez Frías (the prexie of Venezuala has a Facebook page. Who knew?), Aquarius Cheer, and Gabriel Con Carne.
We're guessing that this is a "loose change" strategy by which

Courtesy PB reader Leah, we learn of a new hard-hitting indictment of the military-industrial-academic Axis of Evil soon to be unveiled to a waiting nation: In two months, Indiana University of Pennsylvania will rip the lid off fascist-imperialist Amerikkka with the IUP English Department's publication of a 600-page, double-volume Academic Freedom and Intellectual Activism in the Post-9/11 University.
According to the press release, "[T]he collection [...] features 28 contributors, including such luminaries as race scholar Cornel West, world renowned intellectual Noam Chomsky, Constitutional Law Professor Derrick Bell, Pulitzer finalist Martín Espada, academic freedom specialist Bob O’Neil, and AAUP President Cary Nelson[....]"
Naturally, no such opus would be complete without the inclusion of an essay of "nearly 90 pages and using more than 400 endnotes to buttress [the work]" in which Ward "The Nation's Conscience" Churchill "provides a meticulously detailed account—the only one of its kind—of his experiences confronting the machinations of politicians, media, and the Colorado Board of Regents, which conspired to successfully strip him of his tenured professorship."
Sadly, no price is mentioned, and the late-February publication date suggests strongly that IUP's marketing mavens overlooked the obvious stocking-stuffer aspect of the collection.
...In any case, to help kick-off what will surely mark the long-awaited beginning of the end of fascist-imperialist Amerikkka, "An academic freedom symposium featuring Ward Churchill as keynote speaker is scheduled to follow shortly thereafter on February 23, 2009." We can only assume this earth-shattering symposium is taking place at IUP; neither the English department's calendar nor IUP's various calendars currently note the event.

Speaking of nadirs, Professor Peter N. Kirstein unleashes his incredible gobstopping intellect in his plea to "Stop the “Lynching” of Rod Blagojevich: A Great Governor"

After years of watching CU garner all the attention, envious Kansas State University is considering adding Ethnic Studies as a major. (ht Grant Jones)

"I think that puts American Ethnic Studies in a really special place to help students and to help the rest of the university achieve those goals," [Cheryl Ragar, assistant professor in American Ethnic Studies,] said[.]
Yes, if KSU's goals are infamy, ridicule, and irrelevance.
